Bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and Rpublic of Benin are excellent where the President of Benin Republic made two visits to State of Qatar.
The first visit was in February 2009 and the second in November 2014. After the first visit the Benin Embassy was opened in Doha capital of the State of Qatar in September 2010 and Qatar Embassy was opened in Cotonou Benin Republic in November 2012.to promote bilateral cooperation between the two countries several agreements and a memorandum of understanding were presented. And two agreements were signed during the visit of the President of Republic of Benin in State of Qatar in November 2014.
Three agreements are under signature.
