Location: Republic of Benin is located in west Africa boarded in west Togo in east Nigeria in north Burkina-Faso and Niger but in south overlooking the bay.


Official language: French. Benin has several local languages such as: Fon, Yorouba, Dindi, Haoussa. 


Political capital: Porto Novo.


Historical capital: Ouida


Economic capital: Cotonou where is the actual capital of Benin, because oh presence of the presidency of  Republic, many important ministries, the largest population in the country, the airport, the port largest west African market it’s also located at the crossroads of many neighboring countries, making it a trade center with an important influence in opening up trade to countries within Africa, Cotonou port is considered as the foreign trade outlet of several countries within the continent  (Niger, Burkina-Faso, Mali and Tchad)

Politics: The Benin people play a big role in politic where they are federated to support the candidate. The youth parliament has been established to discuss and defend their rights. In the pyramid people are represented 75% of population so their participation is required and is very important because it plays a big role in the development of the country. The political parties are exploiting the youth campaign to achieve their ambitions. But the unemployment remains a major obstacle to the development of y this important segment of society.


Culture and Heritage: Young people are cultured and educated. Traditional and historical monuments are still resident in some cities such as the effects of slavery and popular traditions.
